The Project
Iron Moon Jewelry is a small business creating wire wrapped jewelry, handcrafted with care and attention to detail. Each piece is made using unique stones, crystals, and minerals wrapped in thoughtful wirework, creating intricate designs to celebrate and enhance the natural beauty of the stones.
My Contribution
I was approached to create the logo for Iron Moon Jewelry. We went over different ideas and after discussing that amethyst moons are a favorite of theirs, I wanted the logo to feature it prominently along with the wire wrapping to show the jewelry made.

Logo Design
I designed the logo based on an amethyst moon wrapped in wire with a hanging pearl, reflecting of the style of jewelry primarily made by the client. To keep the beautiful color variations of an amethyst while keeping the design graphic and simplified, I used geometrical shapes reminiscent of the hard edges of crystals to separate the purple hues. I also created two variations of the logo, each one a simplified version that still maintains the essence of the materials but could be used for a minimalistic look.
Packaging
How to stand out at an art fair in a sea of other booths? Packaging. Many booths will feature earrings punched through card stock or necklaces dangling from the same wire rack every other seller is. Creating a professional package instills trust in your artistic skills because you care how your art is presented. Since necklaces are the primary jewelry pieces, I wanted to paly with the logo by having the gems hanging in place of the pearl on the logo. On the back of the packaging there is the fully rendered logo and all socials.
Signage
I created an infographic of basic information on the differences between crystals, minerals, and rocks (all materials used in their jewelry-making) to display at art fairs. I wanted it to be eye-catching as another way of drawing customers into the booth so I made an “explosion” of each material to give a dynamic feel while also showing some of the physical variations.
